Although I describe this piece as a beginner version, it is not simplified. This tab is a note for note translation, but it consists of only the first section, which is the most famous and recognizable part of the song.

If a beginning pianist were to try to learn this piece through traditional notation, it would be nearly impossible, but piano tab makes it so easy that it is often the second song I teach my students after Ode to Joy.
