When Chris Martin first played the song for the band, they immediately knew that it was special and that they would be playing the song forever. This song is guaranteed to be played at every Coldplay concert. The video for the song, which won three MTV music video awards, was shot with the action moving forward, but they reversed the video in post production. Chris Martin appears to be singing normally, and in order for it to work, he had to learn to sing the song backwards.
