Hallelujah piano tab by Leonard Cohen

Cohen used a lot of religious imagery in this song, including references to some of the more notorious women in the bible. He explains that Hallelujah means Glory to the Lord and he wrote Hallelujah to affirm his faith in life, not in a formal religious way but rather through emotion and enthusiasm. Jeff Buckley recorded Hallelujah for his 1994 debut album Grace which sparked renewed interest in the song.
